Event Description:
35% of pre-hospital deaths are a result of hemorrhaging. Stop the Bleed is a nationwide initiative to educate civilians about how to provide emergent, medical support to control bleeding. The George Washington University Hospital is offering a free Stop the Bleed training session, led by Dr. Babak Sarani, Director of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, and members of the GW Hospital trauma team. In 30 minutes, you will learn how to administer lifesaving care by controlling bleeding.
GW Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center, caring for some of the most critically ill and severely injured across the Washington, DC area.
