Workplace Rights for Pregnant, Parenting, and Caregiving Workers

 First Shift Justice Project provides free legal services for people in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. First Shift offers legal services and information related to pregnancy/breastfeeding accommodations, accommodations for domestic violence, family medical leave, and D.C Paid Family Leave benefits. As the Community Health Outreach Manager, C. Nickel works with medical professionals to discuss best practices for supporting patients' health in the workplace and how/when to refer patients to First Shift. They earned a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MPH from the Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University, and are passionate about improving health outcomes for all through health professional education.
