Frank Harrington Director of Reimbursement and Regulatory Affairs American Association of Nurse Practitioners Frank Harrington has served as the Director of Reimbursement and Regulatory Affairs for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) for the past six years. In his position, he reviews, analyzes, and drafts comments on state and federal regulations, with a specific focus on issues that affect nurse practitioner reimbursement. Frank also represents AANP at meetings with insurers, federal regulators and legislators and other stakeholders regarding issues that impact nurse practitioners. Prior to joining the AANP, Frank spent over six years working for a health law firm that specialized in issues related to hospital reimbursement. He represented hospitals on a wide range of issues including Medicare and Medicaid audits, the denial of EPSDT covered services, medical necessity denials, experimental or investigational procedures and services, and state and federal reimbursement regulation.
