Position Description

A leading health-care system in New Jersey is currently seeking two Critical Care Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) to provide coverage to the Cardiac ICU.

About the Opportunity:
* Setting: Combined Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
* Schedule: 2 nights per week (6 PM to 6 AM), with flexible scheduling options
* Support Team: Medical Residents, consulting physicians, intensivists (day), and on-call surgeons
* Patient Volume: 2 providers managing 24 patients
* Assignment Start Date: Early 2025

Responsibilities:
The Critical Care NP/PA will be responsible for:
* Managing patients in critical care
* Collaborating with Medical Residents, Intensivists, and Cardiologists
* Handling admissions, writing scripts, and making medical recommendations
* Maintaining communication with patient's Primary Care Physicians (PCP's)
* Performing procedural tasks and maintaining ventilator management

Qualifications:
* Master's degree required
* Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
* ACLS and BLS certification
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a PA or NP
* Experience in ventilation management and critical care
* Procedural competency and a strong critical care background (CT surgery, surgical, or thoracic)
* Excellent communication and computer skills

Desired Skills:
* Experience in a hospital ICU setting
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
