Position Description

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Location: Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Philadelphia, PA

Join our nationally recognized Cardiac ICU team at PPMC—ranked among the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the U.S. We are a leading tertiary referral center for cardiogenic shock, acute coronary syndrome, and pulmonary embolism serving South Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role managing complex cardiac cases: cardiogenic shock, acute MI, high-risk PE, post-cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, LVAD complications
  • Perform critical care procedures: central lines, dialysis catheters, arterial lines
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, fellows, hospitalists, and APPs
  • Utilize advanced devices: PA catheters, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, LVADs, ventilators
