For nurse practitioners practicing in primary care, this announcement is just for you!

Posted almost 5 years ago by Nancy Uhland

Dear fellow Nurse Practitioner:

You are invited to participate in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Clinical Procedural Skills Education, a brief survey regarding clinical procedural skills (CPS) for nurse practitioners (NPs) practicing in primary care settings located within the American Association of Nurse Practitioners’ Region 3: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.  Please only complete the survey if you are a NP practicing in primary care.

Purpose: The purpose of this survey is to explore the CPS used by primary care NPs, to better inform primary care NP educators, and preceptors working with new students, regarding minimum competencies.  This survey forms a part of the evidence-based practice project of a DNP student at the Catholic University of America (CUA) School of Nursing.

Description of the Procedures: This brief, anonymous, online, 95-question survey will take less than 15 minutes to complete and will help provide foundational information for understanding the current state of CPS: which CPS are used most often and considered most important, and when they are learned.

Sincerely,

David R. Want, MSN, FNP-C, DNP student
